Raw Chocolate

is it safe to eat raw eggs in a chocolate mousse as long as their grade A?

It doesn’t matter what grade they are, raw eggs are never safe.
You don’t need eggs to make mousse. Here’s a really good recipe:

Chocolate Mousse

1 envelope gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 1/4 cups milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed

In small saucepan, sprinkle gelatine over cold water; let stand 1 minute. Stir over low heat until gelatin is completely dissolved. Stir in butter until melted.
In blender or food processor process milk, sugar cocoa powder and vanilla until blended. While processing, gradually add gelatine mixture and process until blended. Pour into bowl, then blend in whipped topping. Spoon into dessert dishes or 4-cup bowl; chill until firm. Garnish, desired, with additional whipped topping.

Makes about 8 servings.

I want to switch my four-month-old pit bull/German shepherd puppy (who is allergic to grain) from Nutro to an all raw diet or maybe raw food with some kibble.
Any information is appreciated as I know nothing about feeding raw food. I didn’t even know you could do this until last night.
Menus, amount, type of food, price, etc.

Sorry but you can forget some of the answers you have had so far.

Never feed raw WITH complete as suggested somewhere, and forget all the RAW is bad for them and shortens their life crap, and the YA is the worst place to get answers ….

You are looking to basically feed 80% meat, 10% bone and 10% offal. You need to get going on it but keep reading so that you are getting clued up as you go along.

Well done on an excellent choice – and I am sure you won’t look back. Cheaper and better by far than any kibble you can get.

Im on the raw food diet and I need a food processor. I need a big one for my recipes that works well and is not too expensive. Which one?

I bought a Blendtec Blender last year and it does it all — blender, juicer, mixer and food processor. It’s expensive but saves a lot of money on all the appliances that a raw foodist needs!

Hello friends.. I was thinking to make chocolates for my family and friends at home. Chocolates are my favorite too. I wanted some help from you all for making it at home itself.

cocoa is for flavouring and drinking but to make chocolates you will need molding chocolate available in craft stores like Michaels or in Bulk Barn or cake decorating supplies. The chocolate has cocoa butter and fats and is sweeter.

I’m not looking to go totally raw food, but definitely want to have more. I know pretty much all the Western veggies and fruit, but what are some good foreign foods that can be eaten raw, and how to prepare them? Also what are good foods to sprout, and how do you do that?

Have you tried "green smoothies"? They are awesome! They are great to incorporate into a raw food diet!

I just started doing my own sprouts. I bought a variety package from wheatgrasskits.com. Get some big mason jars and tops to rinse. Those can be bought there, too, at least the lids with holes.

Your local health food store should have things like dehydrated fruits that you don’t find everyday like goji berries and such. I used to live in Florida and got all the papaya, coconuts, avocados, mangoes, and citrus from friends who had trees. I moved north and sure do miss those. Now I eat lots of apples, pears, cherries, and a variety of berries. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten tired of all the varieties of fruits that you can get at the store.

As far as the greens and veggies, I grow my own garden. Right now I have 7 different greens and different veggies growing. If you don’t have the space, you can grow them in container gardens.

Because other than that I strictly drink water. And I have a set diet. But I just added the chocolate soymilk today. Is that okay?

If you only drink like one cup per day. It contains a lot of sugar. And it’s good because soy milk contains needed vitamin B12.

I started a raw food diet after doing a 15 day juice fast which took place a few months ago. I’ve noticed that my sinuses are a lot clearer and that they drain after every meal. Not a bad thing!

Its more that cooked food makes your body produce mucus. Mucus is the main way your body protects itself from cooked food which it is not designed to eat. We have adapted to eat cooked food, one of the adaptations is producing a lot of mucus, to line the colon, and other areas.

We’re moving in a few days, and when we move we’re going to try and eat natural foods.
So far I have tuna, organic/raw milk, black olives, granola nut clusters (are those good?), organic chocolate, olive oil, natural juice, and sea salt.

What are some other things? I’m not talking about recipes.
I think I saw organic macaroni and cheese (packaged) is that good?
